This position is based primarily on campus in Newton, MA, with some evening hours during peak advising periods. 3 days onsite required.
Compensation : 70-75K *

What You’ll Do - Deliver personalized academic guidance to Psy.D. students at all stages, from initial enrollment to graduation, helping them craft effective coursework and long-term academic strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty and program leaders to ensure students receive cohesive support and clear communication regarding policies, degree milestones, and expectations.
- Assist students in understanding institutional protocols, including course registration, transfer credit policies, and leaves of absence, while ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
- Support new students through orientation programs, offering vital information on program structure, resources, and professional development.
- Maintain precise, confidential records of advising sessions and student progress, generating insightful reports to inform program enhancements and meet accreditation standards.
- Foster seamless communication between students, faculty, and staff by managing important updates, deadlines, and institutional policies with clarity and professionalism.
Key Skills And Abilities - Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, higher education, or a closely related field.
- Bring at least three years of experience in academic advising or student support, preferably within graduate or professional programs.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of advising methodologies, student development principles, and higher education policies.
- Exhibit outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to connect effectively with diverse student populations.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving talents, with an eye for detail.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- A collaborative, student-focused approach that promotes a supportive learning environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced setting, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality engagement.
