- The Benefits Analyst/Sr. Analyst is a member of the Benefits team within the People organization and will be responsible for administering health and welfare plans.
- This role will interface with other Benefits and Retirement team members and external benefits administrator or other vendors to support operational excellence and the delivery of Joint Collective Bargaining Agreements (JCBA) provisions and a positive team member experience as it relates to health and welfare benefits.
What you'll do
- Analyzes employee benefits data to monitor the administrative accuracy of health and welfare plans, including dental, vision, flexible spending and savings accounts, income protection benefits, and other voluntary benefits
- Create reports and presentations to enhance transparency and effectively communicate project status
- Create processes, tools, and reports to accurately capture key metrics of activities to help leaders integrate planning and process improvement to set, manage and achieve targets.
- Conduct analysis to resolve member issues related to benefit eligibility, life events, and specialized programs
- Interprets benefit administration rules, plan requirements, and JCBA agreements
- Analyzes JCBA provisions and works with benefits administrators to design functionality and implement automation. Performs testing and monitors production environment for accuracy
- Comprehensive experience managing the full lifecycle of annual enrollment, from planning and preparation to execution and post-enrollment support.
- Drives accountability of external suppliers by validating data integrity to ensure the highest quality delivery of service in accordance with benefits delivery rules and service levels
- Monitors call center performance and analyzes data (volume, handle time, speed to answer etc.) to optimize staffing levels during peak periods such as annual enrollment
- Creates process maps and documents requirements related to the delivery of benefits
- Performs other duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned to drive business objectives

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years minimum analytics and/or operations experience
- 3 years of experience driving cross-functional project execution
- 3 years annual enrollment experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Experience in project management and communication planning
- Strong data-driven mindset with a focus on analytical decision-making
- Proficient in Excel-based data analysis with strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Exceptional project management skills: ability to take the initiative anticipating and handling problems or incidents before they become major issues. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including facilitation/presentation skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Must have strong working knowledge and ability of Microsoft Office software, including Excel (Vlook-up, Pivot tables, other formulas), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must meet strict deadlines, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and complex benefits environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work, with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellence
- Effective team player with the ability to collaborate, as well as work independently
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Good analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel (15-25%)
