About the Role

This role is a full-time, salaried role that directly reports to the Engineering Manager. This role will be in-office where day-to-day work will occur in our NJ office location.

Essential Functions

  • Create 2D and 3D technical drawings using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks
  • Interpret design specifications and convert rough sketches into detailed plans
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and feasibility
  • Revise drawings based on feedback and updated project requirements
  • Maintain organized digital libraries of drawings and templates
  • Prepare supporting documents such as material lists, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Work with outsourced modelers to expedite engineering design creation

Core Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or architecture
  • Experience: 3 plus years in CAD drafting
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools
  • Experience in SolidWorks is a must
  • Experience using 3D Experience and OpenBOM is a plus

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and technical communication
  • Strong visual and spatial awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Willingness to stay updated with evolving CAD technologies

Details

  • The starting compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 and will be determined based upon a candidate's experience and location.
  • The typical working hours for this position are 8 am – 4:30 pm (ET)
  • This job position is exempt to overtime as determined by the FLSA standards.

About the Hiring Process
