Job Description

Enterprise Medical Recruiting is assisting a leading, physician-owned neurosciences practice in the tri-state region to recruit a full-time Chair of Neurology. This role will lead a dynamic and respected department across clinical, academic, and research domains. The team has 25 Neurologists, 10 Neurosurgeons, Neuropsychologists, Neuro Research Director, and 15 Advanced Practice Providers. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the future of neurology in a rapidly growing organization committed to innovation, excellence, and collaborative care. The role also includes leadership responsibilities within a prominent medical school partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership across all neurology services, aligning strategic goals in clinical care, education, and research.
  • Cultivate a department culture centered on inclusion, respect, and professional development.
  • Oversee and expand neurology clinical operations in collaboration with regional hospital partners.
  • Guide academic programs including medical student education, residency and fellowship training, and continuing education.
  • Develop and implement research strategies, securing external funding and advancing clinical trials.
  • Collaborate on institutional planning, budgeting, and development initiatives.
  • Position will be 80% Clinical and 20% administrative, with flexibility to move the needle either way.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or MD/Ph.D.; qualified for appointment at the full professor level in an academic medical setting.
  • Certification: Board-certified in Neurology.
  • Licensure: Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in academic leadership (e.g., Chair, Division Chief); strong record in clinical program management, research, and mentoring; committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
