Cloud Engineer

Fulltime Permanent

City of Industry, CA – 100% ONSITE

Job Summary:

Technical Skills

1. On-Premises Infrastructure Expertise

• Experience in designing, deploying, and managing on-premises network infrastructure (e.g., LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers).
• In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, RAID configurations, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Strong understanding of server hardware and operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

2. Microsoft Ecosystem Proficiency

• Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and integration with on-premises systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Intune

3. Cloud Computing and Azure Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Understanding of Azure networking (e.g., Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers) and storage solutions (e.g., Blob Storage, Azure Files).
• Ability to migrate on-premises workloads to Azure and manage hybrid environments using tools like Azure Arc or Azure Site Recovery.

4. General Cloud Competency

• Familiarity with cloud architecture principles, scalability, and security best practices.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, cost management, and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus but not required.

Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years focused on cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in managing both physical and virtualized environments.
• Track record of successfully completing projects involving network upgrades, server deployments, or cloud migrations.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, intrusion prevention, and vulnerability management for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions.

Certifications (Preferred but Optional)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• CompTIA Network+
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent for virtualization.
