Compensation Salary Range:
Confidential Secretary I: $62,493-$85,387
Confidential Secretary II: $68,747-$93,924
Confidential Secretary III: $75,628-$103,317
Responsibilities The incumbent will perform day to day routine as well as non-routine administrative office functions while using good judgment in dealing with confidential matters.
The incumbent responsibilities will include but are not limited to writing, editing, and proofreading memos, documents, reports and correspondence; create spreadsheets. Log all incoming correspondence, screen telephone calls, visitors, messages, and other general correspondence. Research assigned topics and provide management with necessary and appropriate briefing and background material. Record and transcribe confidential data and correspondence. Maintain appointment calendar, schedule meetings, and prepare agendas and materials for meetings. Establish and maintain internal files for periodic follow-up and processing; Maintain project tracking system. Prioritize, review, and distribute correspondence received to proper departments for action; Compile and disseminate monthly management reports.
Education and Experience A high school diploma or a GED equivalent and (3) three years of satisfactory full-time experience performing secretarial duties or
A satisfactory equivalent of combined education and experience requirements.
Desired Skills - Excellent written, verbal, and grammatical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and exercise discretion and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with the agency's organization, functions, programs, policies, and work procedures is desirable.
- Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to interface effectively with senior management, staff, MTA affiliates and external organizations.
