Data Center Technician – Inventory & Builds Department | Sparks, NV

Responsibilities
Builds Department:
• Assemble and install computer hardware, server components, and cabling following technical schematics and SOPs.
• Perform detailed quality inspections on components, verifying serial numbers, part accuracy, and condition.
• Use laser measurement tools and precision instruments to align and position server racks.
• Safely operate material handling equipment (electric pallet jacks, straddle stackers, and rack movers).
• Follow build documentation, workflow procedures, and safety standards to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Inventory Department:
• Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes, including receiving, tracking, and processing returned parts.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain accuracy using Excel, SAP, or WMS tools.
• Inspect and verify inbound/outbound shipments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain detailed records.
• Assist in order fulfillment, labeling, and packaging of materials for shipment.
• Cross-train across teams to support warehouse and builds operations as needed.
Qualifications
• 1–2+ years of experience in data center operations, computer hardware assembly, inventory control, or shipping/receiving.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to follow diagrams, schematics, and detailed assembly instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace; experience with RF scanners, SAP, or WMS preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lifts up to 100 lbs) and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented, high-volume environment.
• Reliable transportation to the Sparks, NV worksite (USA Parkway area).
• Must pass a 10-year national background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Pay
$25.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime may be required as needed
