Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design & Configuration:
    • Design, configure, and implement DeltaV DCS solutions for new and existing projects.
    • Perform system integration and ensure that all components meet required specifications.
    • Customize DeltaV software configurations, including control logic, graphics, and alarm management.
  • System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with DeltaV systems, both hardware and software.
    • Provide support for DeltaV system upgrades and modifications.
    • Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring problems and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Testing & Commissioning:
    • Participate in system testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
    • Support the commissioning of DeltaV systems and ensure they meet operational requirements.
    • Validate that all system components function according to specifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed documentation of system configurations, testing procedures, and maintenance reports.
    • Maintain accurate records of all system changes and improvements.
    • Ensure that all changes comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Training & Support:
    • Provide training and technical support to operators and other engineering teams on DeltaV systems.
    • Offer troubleshooting and problem-solving support during plant operations.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and improve plant operations.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure DeltaV systems are integrated effectively within the broader automation infrastructure.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Control, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
    • Certifications in DeltaV DCS or related automation systems is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DeltaV system design, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Strong knowledge of control systems, process automation, and industrial control networks.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of DeltaV control systems, software (e.g., DeltaV Explorer, DeltaV Operate), and hardware.
    • Experience with DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, Allen Bradley PLC's and industrial network protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of process control principles and safety standards.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and resolve technical issues.
    • Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
    • Ability to document technical details in a clear and concise manner.
