Job Description

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our growing team. The Document Control Specialist will process, distribute, retrieve, maintain, and archive all project-related records received and assist in managing project and program records, utilizing Project Management Information System, PMWeb, and hard-copy files. The qualified candidate may be co-located with the construction management team in a field construction environment once training is completed. The candidate should have the means to drive distances between office and field locations.    

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • The control, scanning, indexing, linking, hardcopy filing, and distribution of documents in PMWeb.  This includes internal records of the Airport Development Group (ADG) and those processed with external entities such as City Agencies, consultants, and contractors.  Manage flow of records to project participants distribution, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications.
  • Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus.
  • Must be sensitive to time deadlines, ensure that work is accomplished in the time frames required, and must be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.
  • May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element.
  • May be assigned training duties to train new staff on document control procedures.
  • Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb.
  • Support for project teams in organizing workflows and approvals.
  • Participation in project meetings, as necessary.
  • Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale ($25M+) construction project or program required.  Experience in a large-scale, billion-dollar public sector construction program is highly desirable.
Hardware/Software Knowledge:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required
  • Experience with large-scale Document Control Software is preferred, PMWeb and/or Documentum highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners and optical character recognition.
Required Qualifications:
  • Two-year technical degree 
  • 5-10 years’ experience with document processing and data management. Document processing experience at large international airports preferred
  • Certification for document control professionals is highly desirable
Anticipated Salary Range : $72,800.00 - $83,200.00 per year
The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and work location.
