**Document Controller**
**Location: Houston, TX**
**Pay Rate: $22-27/hour**
**Contract Type: Temporary to Hire**
Our client, a leading maintenance, construction, and equipment installation company based in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated Document Controller to support a major project and contribute to ongoing company growth. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient access for the team. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with document control systems, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel in a fast-paced environment. **Job Responsibilities:**
+ Manage all project documentation, including specifications, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring accurate organization and version control in a fast-paced environment.
+ Use and quickly learn Procore software for document tracking, sharing, and storage.
+ Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, clicking, sorting, and updating project records to ensure timely document distribution and retrieval for stakeholders, including foremen and superintendents in the shop.
+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, foremen, and superintendents to support the preparation, submission, and distribution of documents and communicate clearly regarding document numbers and status.
+ Monitor document workflows for proper review, approval, and archiving in compliance with company and project requirements.
+ Collect, process, and track invoices, supporting efficient payment and acceptance cycles.
+ Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
+ Prepare regular reports on document status, outstanding reviews, and compliance; assist with audits to ensure document control processes meet standards.
+ Commit to regular business hours with potential overtime.
**Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience in document control, construction administration, or related roles, preferably within maintenance, construction, or equipment installation industries.
+ Able to quickly pick up and utilize Procore construction management software.
+ Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss document details with shop staff, foremen, superintendents, and other stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with document control best practices, file management, and regulatory compliance.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable clicking, sorting, and updating digital records.
