**Job Title: Grounds Maintenance - Morning Shift- 7am-3pm $15/hr (Full time- M-F)** **Job Description** A college grounds maintenance job involves performing a wide range of tasks to keep campus grounds clean, safe, and visually appealing, including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, and seasonal upkeep like snow removal and leaf cleanup. This role often includes operating various groundskeeping equipment and machinery, performing minor repairs to grounds equipment and facilities, and ensuring the general cleanliness of outdoor areas. **Responsibilities** + **Landscape upkeep:** Spreading mulch, maintaining planting beds, and seasonal cleanup, such as leaf and snow removal. + **Litter and waste management:** Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles and removing debris from campus grounds. + **Equipment operation:** Safely operating a variety of equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws, and utility vehicles. + **Minor repairs:** Performing minor repairs on groundskeeping equipment and sometimes on campus infrastructure like signs or lighting. + **Event support:** Assisting with the setup and breakdown for campus events. + **Snow removal:** Snow blowing, shoveling sidewalks and pathways on campus **Essential Skills** + Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift. + Capability to bend and squat to clean hard-to-reach places. + Ability to lift and pull up to 50 lbs + Medium to heavy physical effort is required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual labor and working outdoors in various weather conditions. + Strong attention to detail to maintain a clean and appealing campus environment. + Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and repair are a plus. + Knowledge of landscaping, or turf management can be beneficial. **Work Environment** Outdoor on campus in Bloomington, IN **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Bloomington, Indiana. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Bloomington, IN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
