Legal Executive Assistant to Founding Partner

Location: Bellport, New York ( Hybrid /On-Site)

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 + Performance Bonuses

The Role

We are looking for more than an assistant; we are seeking a strategic partner and logistical architect for our Founding Partner. The Founding Partner is a high-octane litigator and public speaker who balances a demanding caseload with major speaking engagements, complex family logistics, and a commitment to mental well-being.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly discreet, and emotionally intelligent professional whose primary goal is to minimize decision fatigue and create a protective structure around the Partner. You will work in tandem with the Director of Residence and Head of Firm Culture and Engagement to ensure a seamless flow between the Partner's professional and personal worlds.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Calendar & Lifestyle Management: Design a "neuro-inclusive" schedule based on energy levels, ensuring ample buffer time between meetings to decompress and prepare. Manage all travel (personal, family, and work) for speaking engagements, utilizing deep knowledge of credit card points and loyalty programs (specifically Amex, UVC and Hyatt) to maximize status and benefits.
• Communication & Gatekeeping: Act as a graceful protective layer against interruptions, handling sensitive information with absolute confidentiality. Draft, proofread, and prepare high-level correspondence and reports.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the bridge between the "Household Office" and the Firm, collaborating daily with the Director of Residence to ensure work schedules do not clash with family priorities. Assist in the logistical execution of speaking engagements to ensure the Partner arrives rested and focused.
• Wellness Support: Provide gentle, effective reminders for essential self-care (nutrition, hydration) to prevent burnout during high-stress periods.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as an Executive Assistant, Legal Assistant, Legal Intern, Law Clerk, or comparable role.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior litigation or employment law experience is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Legal Case Management software (e.g., Neos, Clio).
• Travel Optimization: Familiarity with travel loyalty programs (such as Amex, UVC and Hyatt) and a genuine interest in optimizing points and miles is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Compensation & Benefits
