The Manager, SQL and Oracle Database will lead and manage projects, overseeing a team of skilled database administrators and developers in the design, implementation, and support of both Microsoft SQL and Oracle database systems. Duties: Develop and manage guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for database management practices. Design and implement new applications and disaster recovery solutions. Establish and oversee procedures for maintaining database security. Manage database capacity planning, record archival, and regular monitoring. Supervise the implementation and management of database software upgrades and patching. Manage teams supporting Oracle and Microsoft SQL technologies. Collaborate with stakeholders for architectural guidance. Assist with daily operations, including timesheet management and support ticket resolution. Ensure compliance with service level agreements for tier 2 and 3 support. Ensure robust database design and management to provide reliable I.T. services. Document database specifications, licensing, configurations, and infrastructure. Evaluate production issues and new project requirements. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field (or equivalent experience). Education Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field. Experience Required: At least 6 years of experience in SQL and Oracle Server databases. At least 4 years of leading and managing staff. Experience with mission-critical applications requiring 24/7 uptime. Skills Required: Expertise in designing and implementing new applications and disaster recovery solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership capabilities and self-management skills. Licenses/Certifications Preferred: Oracle Certified Expert (OCE): Oracle Database Performance Management and Tuning. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Physical Requirements: Light Additional Information: High competency in risk assessment and management. Understanding of system management and performance troubleshooting.
