Serve as the operational cornerstone for our marketing team for Zondervan Bibles, Academic, and Reflective publishing. In this pivotal role, you'll provide essential support to both product/brand marketers and marketing operations, ensuring the seamless execution of initiatives across the Zondervan Bibles, Academic, and Reflective publishing programs. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll maintain crucial systems, coordinate cross-functional projects, and handle day-to-day operations that enable our senior leaders to focus on strategic growth. You'll gain visibility into multiple aspects of marketing and publishing while serving as a key connection point. The ideal candidate has high capacity for managing multiple priorities, is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and able to adapt quickly while demonstrating a proactive approach to operational excellence. This is a hybrid position based out of our Grand Rapids, MI or Nashville, TN offices. Responsibilities Maintain and optimize marketing lists, tools, workflows, and documentation to ensure operational efficiency Track action items and deadlines across multiple projects and teams Coordinate presentation development, digital asset management, and team resource needs Compile and prepare regular reporting for team leaders and stakeholders Manage industry-specific platforms including BookBub, Goodreads, and NetGalley for book promotions Process and monitor author/agent requests for materials, samples, and information Coordinate submissions for industry award programs such as ECPA, CT Book Awards, and other recognition opportunities Work in publishing systems (like Edelweiss) to update book and marketing data Manage event logistics including planning timelines, vendor coordination, and on-site support Process gratis product orders and maintain accurate fulfillment records Support budget administration including invoice processing, commitment tracking, and financial reporting Create and maintain standard operating procedures for recurring marketing activities Serve as a liaison between marketing team and other departments including editorial, sales, and finance Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and implement process improvements Qualifications Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, publishing, or administrative support roles Demonstrated success in project coordination and deadline management Experience with digital asset management and document organization systems Background in supporting teams and facilitating cross-functional collaboration Experience with budget tracking and basic financial processes preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field Relevant certifications in project management or marketing operations a plus Knowledge: Understanding of marketing operations and workflows Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices Knowledge of digital asset management and file organization systems Basic understanding of marketing terminology and processes Industry Knowledge: Awareness of publishing industry dynamics and book marketing approaches Understanding of Christian theology and contemporary practice Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities with strong attention to detail High capacity for managing extensive task lists and complex projects Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Airtable, or Basecamp Familiarity with design tools like Canva for basic creative needs Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Problem-solving aptitude with a solutions-oriented mindset Basic data analysis capabilities for reporting and tracking purposes HarperCollins Christian Publishing is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr HarperCollins Publishers
