About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized B2B Marketing + Events Coordinato r to drive the strategy and execution behind standout executive events, compelling marketing campaigns, and meaningful executive community engagement. This role supports both McDermott + Bull and Activate 180 — two purpose-driven brands creating impactful experiences for executives, professionals, and teams across industries.

This position requires a balance of creativity and execution, with equal parts project management, content development, and audience engagement. You’ll lead marketing initiatives through email, social, digital, and events, while managing timelines, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite work at our Irvine office Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.

Key Responsibili t ies

Marketing

  • In partnership with Director of Marketing, develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to support brand, business development, and communication goals.
  • Manage campaign planning and execution across email, social media, and digital platforms.
  • Execute content creation and ensure messaging is consistent across channels.
  • Analyze campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to inform future efforts.
  • Create and manage a range of collateral including presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Support content updates across digital properties, including websites, blogs, and social channels.
  • Support internal initiatives including onboarding, internal newsletters, and company-wide events.
  • Maintain marketing systems to streamline team operations and workflows.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of special projects aligned with team and company goals.
  • Track performance metrics across campaigns, events, and digital platforms.
  • Support continuous improvement through systems optimization and process refinement.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead the strategy, coordination, and execution of virtual and in-person executive events across multiple brands.
  • Manage timelines, logistics, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless production.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop event goals and ensure alignment with broader business priorities.
  • Support promotional efforts, communications, and audience engagement pre- and post event.

Community & Member Engagement

  • Support onboarding and engagement of executive network participants.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with members and stakeholders to ensure a high-touch experience.
  • Facilitate outreach, respond to inquiries, and manage updates across relevant platforms.
  • Contribute to the growth of strategic communities through thoughtful communication and support.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, events, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, campaigns, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing content across various platforms.
  • Comfortable working across digital tools and platforms such as email marketing software, website CMS, social media management tools, and project management systems.
  • Experience planning and executing events — both virtual and in-person — including vendor coordination and promotional strategy.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with performance tracking and reporting tools for email, social, and web analytics.
  • A strong sense of brand, design, and audience engagement best practices.
