ManTech seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. This is an on-site position. As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle 19c databases. This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting to ensure that databases operate efficiently while supporting mission-critical operations. You will work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for technical growth and innovation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and maintain Oracle database systems, including OracleRDBMS, Enterprise Manager, WebLogic Suite, and UC4 Application Software, focusing on installation, configuration, and upgrading in a Unix production environment Administer databases essential for supporting hosted corporate applications. To include applying application releases, patches, and emergent data surgery Manage databases to ensure data availability, consistency and integrity. To include scheduling maintenance downtimes, monitoring database availability and performance, and maintaining database backups Ensure database security by reviewing, planning, testing, and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to maintain optimal system performance Write and maintain documentation for supported services, processes, and configurations Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related scientific discipline (or 6 years of related work experience) Two (2) or more years of relative experience in Oracle Database Administration Must possess an active IAT II Cybersecurity Workforce IA Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.) Must have or be able to obtain an Operating Environment certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate, Databases) Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs Significant experience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies Unix experience relevant to database operations and maintenance (O&M) Proficiency operating within a large-scale and complex IT environment Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance prior to starting this position Physical Requirements: Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time. Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
