Principal Consultant, Environmental Permitting and Impact Assessor (Principal Level)

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA and focuses on environmental permitting support for renewable energy, electric transmission, and midstream oil and gas projects, among others. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with power and technology sector companies, with expertise in multi-media environmental permitting, NEPA, and large-scale capital projects in the Mid-Atlantic and eastern states.

Responsibilities include overseeing environmental survey programs, permitting, impact assessment, leading client and regulator interactions, and technical writing. The role involves business development, project leadership, team management, and client relationship building, contributing to ERM's growth in the region.

Minimum requirements:

  • BS/MS in environmental studies, planning, geography, civil or environmental engineering, or related field; or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years (preferably 10+) of consulting experience with impact assessment and multi-media permitting.
  • Proven track record in business growth in renewables and transmission sectors.
  • Established client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and integrity.

Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $127,315 annually, with additional benefits and potential bonuses. Apply via ERM Careers .
