The engineer should oversee the team's technical workload, advise/ mentor junior engineers, and ensure that the team is progressing appropriately in project work. They will also serve as a technical expert when needed. Key Accountabilities Lead Mass Production and New Model investigations related to Spec and TestingServe as QE-PL for complex projectsParticipate in department initiatives such as budgeting, business plan, cost improvement, new model activity, to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement, and foster engagement for the departmentOversee daily group activity by managing day to day operations and schedulesServe as technical expert in area of responsibility, sharing knowledge formally and informally with othersConfirm test results before seeking management approvalQualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational QualificationsBachelor's degree in technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum Experience5 plus years verifiable engineering or testing experience2 plus years verifiable project leadership experienceWorking Conditions Time is divided between office and production areasIn production area must be able to stand for extended period of timeMust be able to work flexible schedule including shifts and weekendsMust be able to work overtime as necessary to support department/ plant needsMust be willing to travel less than 50% of timeWhat differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
