Job Overview:

The Store Operations Manager will be responsible for the successful opening, staffing, and ongoing management of our new flagship store. This position will focus on curating product selections and designing immersive, visually compelling displays that reflect our brand identity and engage our audience. This role will also lead in developing and implementing innovative sales strategies, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and managing the store team to meet performance goals.

A unique opportunity exists to revolutionize the retail experience by integrating our successful ecommerce try-on program into the in-person setting. We are looking for a visionary leader to pioneer this new approach, allowing customers to seamlessly blend online and offline shopping. The ideal candidate will have experience in bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride, guest attire, and evening wear retail, with a strong ability to inspire and lead a team in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. They will also possess a passion for innovation and a desire to shape the future of retail.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Azazie Studio, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment, with fitting room standards that reflect brand excellence and prioritize customer comfort.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of stylists to provide exceptional, personalized service, focusing on a comfortable and memorable fitting room experience for each customer.
  • Coordinate and manage new store and pop-up locations, including site setup, merchandising, and fitting room arrangements, to expand brand presence and deliver high-quality customer experiences in new markets.
  • Ensure adequate scheduling and staffing to maintain seamless studio coverage and an optimal customer experience.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive engagement and achieve studio targets for bridal and fashion lines.
  • In partnership with Design and Marketing, maintain visual merchandising standards aligned with the Azazie brand, keeping the studio welcoming and visually appealing.
  • Analyze studio performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, appointment conversions, and sales, and create actionable plans for improvement.
  • Participate in budget planning for studio operations, monitoring expenses to align with financial goals and profitability targets.
  • Represent the studio in cross-functional meetings, advocating for operational needs, customer feedback, and potential improvements.
  • Plan and execute events and in-store promotions in partnership with Marketing to drive traffic, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on studio KPIs, customer experience insights, and team performance to inform strategic decisions and potential expansion efforts.
  • Potential opportunity to launch Virtual Appointments.
  • Curate a product mix for the pop-up that aligns with seasonal trends, brand identity, and target customer demographics.
  • Create visually striking layouts and fashion-forward displays that highlight key looks, hero pieces, and bestsellers.
  • Translate merchandising strategy into an engaging physical retail experience, from entry flow to product zoning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, merchandising, retail) to ensure consistency across product and storytelling.
  • Source or recommend mannequins, props, fixtures, and visual elements that elevate the fashion presentation.
  • Style mannequins and displays with an editorial eye, ensuring all presentations are polished and on-brand.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager, preferably in bridal or high-end fashion retail environments.
  • Ability to travel between retail locations
  • Experience managing projects or programs including opening and staffing new retail locations, with knowledge of pop-up store logistics being a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in visual merchandising within the fashion industry (retail, pop-ups, events, or showrooms)
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, styling principles, and customer-centric merchandising strategies.
  • Ability to interpret a creative brief and execute a visual concept from planning to installation.
  • Excellent styling skills and attention to detail, especially with apparel, accessories, and footwear.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development and a track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support store openings and peak sales periods.
  • A willingness to take on new challenges and wear multiple hats
