About the RoleIn this role, you will lead Gap Inc.'s Executive Protection (EP) operations in an energized, fast-paced environment working to protect the company's leadership team by program building, coordinating the deployment of EP team members, and conducting protective intelligence activities.What You'll DoThe Senior Manager of Executive Protection (EP) Operations will employ strong functional expertise to lead the development of long-term program strategies as well as short-term goals to drive the professionalization and formalization of Gap Inc.'s EP program while providing day-to-day oversight of the EP program. This position will be the primary point of contact for corporate leadership for management of all matters relating to the security of senior executive leadership.Program Building:Develop foundational standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the EP programEstablish proactive processes and protocols for the EP program in conjunction with key business partners such as the CEO's office, Travel team, and others.Working with internal business partners to assess needs and ensure the EP program is responsive to those needsTeam Leadership:Day-to-day management of EP team membersPrimary interface with vendors when leveraging third-party EP support for domestic and international trips, as necessaryMake intelligence-driven security recommendations to AP leadership and corporate leadershipSchedule and deploy EP team members for domestic and international protective assignmentsLead productive collaboration with Field AP teams when visiting their areas of operationsCoordinate with Events team to support large field-based initiatives, as appropriateTravel and logistical coordination:Primary interlocutor with the CEO's office and the Senior Leadership Team to assess EP support needs and determine how to deploy available resources to supportPrimary liaison with the Corporate Travel Team to coordinate logistical plans for EP teamDevelop and implement security and logistical plans for domestic and international travel and appearances by senior executives.Protective IntelligenceLead the EP team in the conduct of protective intelligence activities to support the EP program to include pre-trip assessments, ongoing monitoring of threats, and liaison with key internal and external partnersCoordinate with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to provide support for and guidance about leadership travelClose Protection & TransportationProvide close protection to senior executives, as neededProvide secure transportation for senior executives utilizing evasive and/or defensive driving tactics, as needed.Who You AreFive plus years' experience conducting executive protection operations in public or private sectorFive plus years' experience managing a team in a security capacityExperience in program building to include drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and establishing key metrics to drive consistent program execution and strive for continuous improvementBachelor's degree preferredCalifornia CCW or willingness/ability to pursueCalifornia BSIS Guard Card or willingness/ability to pursueLEOSA HR 218 preferredMust possess a current US PassportMust have a valid US driver's license with a clean driving recordPrior federal, state, or municipal law enforcement experience preferredExceptional written and oral communication skills with proven track record of generating trust and forming productive relationships with internal and external business partnersExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
