Responsibilities Provide database guidance and support to project teams Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations Write and deploy SQL patches Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use Monitor database operations and understand normal behavior of the databases Ensure database backup and recovery jobs and planning are in in place Provide database architectural direction to the program and individual project teams Ensure database access controls support protecting the data Support application and database deployment for application modules Basic Qualifications: An Active Secret clearance with the ability to pass a comprehensive background check Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field 8 years of experience with programming languages such PL/SQL, MS SQL and Oracle coding. 8 years of Oracle experience 2 years of experience with Postgres DBMS 1 year experience with Postgres Stored Procedures, Triggers Development 5 years of ETL experience using data integration tools like 3 years of experience in administering, managing and tuning databases Preferred Qualifications: Easily design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code Implement and manage company data management practices and policies Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts Good understand database design, implementation, trouble shooting and maintenance Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills Evolver Federal is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all job seekers.
