Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, curious, and self-motivated Sr. Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this high-impact, individual contributor role, you will deliver compelling pre-sales technical presentations, communicate how our product portfolio fits into the customers network, and build customer aligned network architecture designs. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across product, marketing, and leadership to address technical issues/plans of the customer. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, presentation skills, technical domain experience as well as the ability to pivot between technical discussions and concepts to explaining in simple terms, the Teleste value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales support to our Regional Sales Teams, primarily in the area of HFC products
  • Provide pre and post-sales support to our customer base
  • Assist customers with creating and tracking support cases
  • Assist our customers with training, installation, and configuration of our products, primarily smart amplifiers and nodes.
  • Interact with our customers to promptly fix and isolate to root cause and provide a resolution to customer issues
  • Work closely with product engineering group to resolve issues and bugs
  • Provide vital updates to our product management team for our customer’s technical concerns.
  • Assist in development of knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides and training.

Qualifications

  • 10+years working experience in HFC broadband networks
  • Strong understanding of Cable Broadband Distributed Access Architectures
  • Strong understanding of RF transmission in cable broadband networks
  • Practical working knowledge of cable industry solutions and standards e.g. SCTE, DOCSIS, Remote PHY, DAA etc. nomenclature and relevant attributes directly impacting the sales decision process
  • Experience with cable broadband test instrumentation
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills to clearly and simply articulate ideas, and offer solutions.
  • Excellent listening skills. The ability to understand the business needs of prospects / customers and articulate succinctly how our solution can meet their needs.
  • Experience selling at the tactical and executive levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on being a trusted advisor to ensure customer satisfaction. Company restricted
  • Experience working in customer lab environments providing support for problem replication and detailing the sequence of events related to resolving customer technical issues
  • Ability to work independently
  • Travel is required and amount is based on business activity

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on location (Dallas, Denver, or Atlanta) and individual qualifications, including experience, education, and skill set.
