Job Description
Forest Valley Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our support team are pivotal in delivering exceptional care during surgical and dental procedures. They are responsible for coordinating and executing precise treatment plans, preparing animals for surgery, assisting in the OR, performing dental procedures, and assisting with exams.
In this role, you will maintain detailed surgical records, review and implement treatment plans, and address client questions regarding their pet's care. You will also work closely with your team to manage the veterinarian's orders, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while maintaining an efficient workflow to keep procedures on schedule. This role is ideal for detail-oriented Veterinary Assistants who excel in multi-tasking and want to fully utilize their skillset.
This is a full-time or part-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday - Friday and half day Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Surgery prep
- Radiographs
- Blood draws
- Outpatient care
