Job Title: Yard Driver
Job Description

Drive a yard dog forklift around the yard hooking/unhooking trailers up. Move semi-trailers and other equipment around the yard using a Yard Dog truck. Drive across the street to gas station to fill up the trucks with gas. Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading while maintaining a clean and organized yard. Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper handling and storage of products. Transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods between various departments. Perform daily routine inspections and maintenance checks on the Yard Dog and Forklifts to ensure safe and optimal performance. Reporting any issues to management. Collaborate with production managers, supervisors, and other co-workers to coordinate material movements and resolve any logistical challenges. Utilize excellent communication skills both verbal and written to provide updates on material availability and keep production lines stocked with raw materials. Follow all Shipping policies and practices to ensure product safety and shipments are completed accurately.

Essential Skills

• Experience driving a yard dog/forklift.
• Loading and unloading.
• Forklift operation.
• Warehouse experience.
• Driving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any CDL experience is a plus.
• Any schooling or certificate is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good memory.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely and independently with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

GMP regulated environment. Very clean 135,000 Sq. Feet Facility in Hopkins. Temperature controlled and well maintained. Candidate will be working inside and outside, getting in and out of trucks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hopkins, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
