Job Description

Our restaurant Hestia is named after the Greek Goddess of the Hearth. Dishes come off of a 20-foot live fire hearth that is visible from the dining room. This modern grill house has the intimacy of an upscale dinner club mixed with the chef interactions of a tasting menu.

We are seeking cooks who want to be chefs. Our goal is to find talented individuals that are passionate about food so we can give them the tools to be successful. For this position, success is defined as doing your best and producing high quality ingredients. We strive to create a team-based atmosphere where individuals can grow together.

We put local first. We sort things through the priority list of Local Independent Producer > Texas > Regional > Other when deciding what to purchase each week. This allows us to support our community as much as possible while giving us access to the best they have to offer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Making desserts from scratch such as; mousses, cakes, cookies, ice creams and sorbets.
  • Approach the craft of pastry with the intent to innovate and create
  • Take notes and adjust processes according to Pastry Chef's direction
  • Work and communicate as a cohesive team

Monetary related compensation includes:

  • Paid sick time.

  • 45-50 Hour, 5 day work week.

  • This position is part of our restaurants tip pool, the base wage is $8 + Tips. The advertised compensation is an average of the last 12 months.
